The Poetics of Horror (Poetika strave) is a special edition by Serbian publisher Orfelin, dedicated to the best classic and modern authors of horror literature. Most of them were never before released on the ex-Yugoslavian territory. Orfelin's current (such as Shirley Jackson's The Haunting of Hill House, Sheridan le Fanu's Carmilla and Other Stories and Arthur Machen's The Great God Pan) and upcoming releases will be presented by Dejan Ognjanović, the editor of the edition.


Dejan Ognjanović is a writer, film and literary critic, essayist and translator. He is the author of two novels in Serbian: In Vivo (2003) and The Seducer (2014), three studies: Faustian Screen; Devil in Cinema (2006), In the Hills, the Horrors; Serbian Horror Films (2007) and The Poetics of Horror (2014), a collection of essays A Study in Terror (2008); he also edited anthology of the best stories by H. P. Lovecraft, Necronomicon (2008; 2012 expanded).
