Winemakers and Wines in the Vicious Cat Competition

Presents dry KNIGHT'S RED 2016
In the aroma and palate, there is a distinct notion of dark forest fruits, along with the taste of over ripe sour cherry. It is of medium to complex strength, with low acidity that is preferred in red wines.
Hailing from Croatian Međimurje region, the Lovrec family produces boutique wines, combining traditional approach with new techniques of winemaking. Their wine assortment includes Green Silvaner, Rhine Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Traminer, Yellow Muscat, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah.

Wine has a golden yellow colour, with distinguishable honey notes in the aroma. The grapes were exclusively hand-picked in the end of September. Fermentation took place in Inox tanks at lower temperatures.
In Pungračič family, viticulture and winemaking is passed on through five generations. In their vineyards, located in Eastern Haloze region, they grow Rhine Riesling, Italian Riesling, Chardonnay, Sauvignon, Šipon, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Rizvanec, Yellow Muscat and Muscat Ottonel.
Presents PINOT BLANC 2015
It is a mature white wine with elegant fruity aromas. The flavour is full, warm, mineral with mature acid. It is still very young. Wine for sipping.
The first pages of the MiroVino wine story were written already 150 years ago, which is testified by the writing that's carved in wood over the door of the old wine press from 1865. Today they grow grape varieties Šipon, Pinot Blanc, Rhine Riesling, Italian Riesling, Muscat Ottonel and Blue Franconian in their vineyards.
Wine has an exotic bouquet of tropical fruit, maracuja and fine tobacco. Palate is full, long, intense. After a while in the glass, it opens up completely, with the aroma and taste of an Oriental bazaar overflown with spices, incense and southern flowers.
The Kupljen Wine Estate in Jeruzalem- Svetinje is a traditional family – owned wine – cellar. It is located in the midst of the Jeruzalem and Svetinje winegrowing hills, which have been renowned for centuries for their high-quality wines and prestigious sites, perfect for producing premium wines.
Presents dry SAUVIGNON 2017
Sauvignon 2017 is a young, dry, fresh wine with moderate alcohol content and a pleasant varietal bouquet.
Marič winery produces white wines of the following varieties: Italian Riesling, Sauvignon and Traminer. Their relatively small size and a vineyard, located practically at their home, enable them to tend to their work in the vineyard and the cellar with a lot of enthusiasm and care, and all of this shows in their wines.
Presents semi-sweet YELLOW MUSCAT 2016
The sweetness of the wine is in harmony with the fruity citrus acidity. The wine has a strong body and not only experts can taste lemon grass, citrus and apricot. The taste is accompanied with a very distinct scent of lemon, citrus flowers, lychee and nutmeg.
Kovačič family vineyard is located next to their family house in the village of Presika, near Ljutomer, in the heart of the Prlekija region in Slovenia. All the work is done by the family so it is a family business in the truest sense of the meaning and their boutique wine production provides a variety of vintages, so every year their wine is good in a different way.
