This year's jubilee 20th edition of Grossmann Fantastic Film and Wine Festival is about to start. The grand opening will take place at 18h at the Ljutomer Main Square with host Andrej Mernik. At the same time, the Whisperer in the Dark exhibition by Ivica Stevanović will open at the Culture House.
At the Main Square at 19h, we will pay tribute to our guest of honour Slobodan Šijan on the Walk of Fame. This will be followed by a tasting of all competing wines at 19.30h. At 21h, it will be time for a screening of Šijan's legendary comedy Who's Singin' Over There.
Our film program will begin already at 19h at the Culture House, when there will be a screening of creature feature Sting, directed by Kiah Roache-Turner. At 21h, Cinema on the Terrace will offer the first block of short films from the Slak’s Vicious Cat competition, followed by music documentary Soundtrack to a Coup d’etat by Johan Grimonprez.
