Every summer, four best friends spend a few days in the mountains in a remote place in Slovenia. But their friendship was shattered years ago by an event at a party. When they want to face each other and start anew, they get involved with a strange family and the situation soon spirals out of control.
It’s a special year for Slovenian genre cinema. Not only we present three short films, but also no less than two feature genre films. One of them is It Was a Beautiful Day, writer-director Perica Rai’s first feature, a full-blooded backwoods thriller that makes excellent use of the remote location and great cast to achieve the highest possible tension and horror.
