Ko to tamo peva still

It's April 5, 1941, somewhere in Serbia. A colourful group of people board a bus to Belgrade, on a journey that will change their lives forever.

Slobodan Šijan’s legendary debut feature is a unique dark comedy, the quintessential cult film that both critics and audiences proclaimed as the best film of the whole ex-Yugoslavian cinema. There isn’t a single person in this part of the world that hasn’t seen this film numerous times and can’t recite whole lines of scriptwriter Dušan Kovačević’s dialogue, brought to life on the screen by an unforgettable cast of best actors of their generation. After you have been able to enjoy the 35-mm copy when Slobodan Šijan first visited us in 2007, at this year’s Grossmann we will screen a special digitally restored version of the film.
