One of the best European genre film directors will hold lecture on different approaches to film directing and producing. In his career, Severin directed films with very different budgets, despite his youth he also has a lot of experience of working on both sides of the Atlantic. He'll compare film directing with low and high budget directing, and reveal main differences between directing and producing features in Europe and USA.
In case study of his debut feature Goodnight Mommy / Ich seh, Ich seh (Aut, 2014) and its Hollywood remake Goodnight Mommy (USA, 2022), Severin will compare certain scenes from the original to the remake and discuss different approaches to film directing.
